Shrew bows ?
« on: February 21, 2017, 10:21:00 PM »
Back last summer, Ron said there were changes coming but I haven't seen anything on his website.  I know I could contact him directly but I thought maybe someone had talked to him at a show recently.  Don't want to slow down his production.    :bigsmyl:

I talked to Ron by phone about a 60" super shrew. He said the new limb design was more aggressive. I haven't shot one myself, but Ron told me the bows are great shooters. I'm still kicking around the idea of ordering one. Give him a call. I always enjoy talking to him.

It will be interesting to see what Ron has to say.  Its hard for me to understand how you could improve a Shrew.

Jim Belcher has redesigned the limbs of the Shrew bows using CAD and CNC technology creating limbs that are matched and work together. The results is a smoother and more efficient bow.

I haven't gotten the website updated yet but will as soon as possible.

I have to agree, it's hard to believe you can improve on a Shrew!
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

The current Shrew bows are FANTASTIC. Ron and Jim have accomplished something special.....it's hard to improve on something so well designed but they did. Jim's interpretations of Ron's ideas are flawless.

Oh my aching wallet, here we go again...  A Shrew Lil Favorite is hard to resist. An IMPROVED Shrew Lil Favorite is just too much.  I wonder if Smooth-On epoxy is strong enough to keep my wallet from unfolding.

Looks like I need to give Ron a call, an improved Lil Favorite recurve, with a sleeve takedown to keep the physical weight down, is too much to bear.

You won't be disappointed. The Li'l Fav is by far my favorite Shrew design.

This is one bow that never shows up in the classifieds.  Their owners must love 'em.
