« on: February 25, 2017, 10:38:00 PM »
I think Im changing my setup this year for next season
Probably going with a 40 or 45 lb bow.

Im looking at tree sharks or woodsman or snuffers.

Of those three, the bow weights that you envision, i would go with the Woodsman head.  All are good and all could work. I think the Woodsman is the best choice here.

What you plan to hunt can make a difference unless you want a head for anything then I would suggest either the woodsman or a good 2 blade like grizzly or the Simmons heads

Depends on the arrow that is pushing it, Tree Shark, Grizzly, Eskimo, or a 3 to 1 two blade.

This dude right here looks like a winner. I think when shooting through paper it leaves a smiley emoji.

I would recommend the Woodmans or Simmons.  But the best recommendations will come from folks who've harvested the most big game and have real experience to share.  I'm mostly a small game guy.

Bear Razorhead or Zwickey no-mercy for a 2 blade or a woodsman for a 3 blade. I have some 125 elites for sale right now. Give ya a good deal if you want them

Is a three blade broadhead a good choice for a wood arrow and a fourty lb bow?

Just asking, I honestly don't know.   A guide I know suggested  I use a two blade broadhead  if I used 48 lb bow. (for bear)

I used the 3 blade vpa's 175 grain this year with my longbow which I pull about 45#. Killed a buck with complete pass through. As long as you make sure the head is shaving sharp just pick what you like and feel confident with and it will do the job
