Altering Grip on Hoyt Pro Hunter
« on: March 04, 2017, 03:48:00 PM »
Another great recurve of the 60's is the 58" Hoyt Pro Hunter.  It has a big grip like the RWH...both grips seem to push my hand out away from the bow.  Sliming and re-contouring the grip allows my hand to fit right in behind the sight window.  The grip was reduced with an aggressive 36 grit belt then smoothed with a worn out 220 grit slack belt.  Finally hand sanded with 320 grit that is feathered into the bows finish.  Now all it needs is a little Tru Oil and you won't be able to tell anything was done...tippit
