Fletching size for Tree Sharks?

Those who have a lot of experience with Tree Shark (the widest Simmons)...what fletching size are you using?  I was playing with some EFOC shafts and got really good flight with a bare shaft. I'm getting ready to put some fletchings on. They say the EFOC can use less feather. But I would be hesitant to use anything but 5 1/2" feathers with those monster broadheads. Usually I don't care how the heads indexed when mounted but with the wide Simmons maybe they should be horizontal when they first come out of the bow?

I use 4" shield cuts. Never had a problem with a tuned bow

Simmons tree sharks have considerably less surface area than most broadheads

Since they are vented....they would likely take less fletch if you want.  I use the same fletch on ALL my arrows....5 inch 4 fletch....just because.  Fletch size doesn't matter on 20ish yard shots...or even further if you know your trajectory...but they will correct arrow paradox faster the more surface area they have.

That's the real reason I use 5 inch 4 fletch....cause I want my arrows to stabilize as soon as possible cause I get some close shot on hogs at times in thick cover and I want my arrow straight on impact as possible for more performance on penetrating...

I shoot Simmons Safari's and I shoot 4_4" shields and have never had a issue in 5 yrs. They fly GREAT!

I use 3 5" feathers. They fly like great from my 60# bows.

The Treesharks fly better and are less tune fussy than their size would suggest.  I have always used my standard set up, 5" shield 3 fletch without any issues.

I was using 4 4" fletch but recently switched to 3 4" fletch and they fly great.

Last yrs Tree Shark setup backed by a 100 gn brass insert tuned exceptionally well out to 35 yards. Didn't attempt any further.

Used three four inch shield cut feathers.

Thank you. I really need a new target to do any more testing. My arrows keep going through and I don't have a great backstop. just the woods. So that is causing some flinching.

Haven't shot the Tree Sharks, but I have shot the original Interceptors.  Not as wide, but aren't vented, so they probably have a similar surface area.  I've shot them with 4-4" parabolic, 3-5" shields, and 2-5" shields.  I had good results with all three setups, but haven't used them on game yet.  Like you, I had my bare shafts flying perfect, so the fletching wasn't having to do much.  I'd love to try the Tree Sharks.
