Broadheads $$$ and quality?

Grizzly broadheads for me.     After trying quite a few, its my preferred broadhead. Built like a tank,sharpen easily, and fly just as good as my field points.

Any sharp one with good strong steel. Can't beat zwickeys or Bear Original Bear Razorheads. That's what I hunt with. And you can get them pretty cheap.

Not sure there've been a lot of improvements of design over the last decade(s), probably just improvements in materials & manufacturing processes... seems to me we keep re-engineering, and maybe over-engineering proven heads that will do all I need them to do for just about anything I might hunt.
That said - I fault no one for paying whatever they are comfortable with to have a broadhead on their arrow that they are confident in! Nothing wrong with investing in quality products that you appreciate...

Don't overlook Tuskers either.  They are built in Australia, and are sorta the Ausie's answer to Zwickey.  They also offer a heavier long skinny single bevel similar to the Grizzlies though that Zwickey doesn't offer, and they only run around $20/3.

Ive had good and bad results with most heads ive tried, just being honest. Ive come to love the Woodsmans the best as sacrificing just a little penetration is well worth the extra blood that 3rd blade produces, to me at least. However, i usually do have one grizzly in the quiver as well for when i run into a truly big hog.

You can still buy the old style Bears for a reasonable price they work as good or better than any . The last WW I got cost me nothing Gene Wensel came up to me at the show in Kalamazoo and gave  me a big handful. I'm still using them, and have shot a lot with with the
Woodsman.  I don't believe they penetrate less than a 2 blade.

I've used many, I like Ace standard 2 blade,quality, tough, easy to sharpen, many sizes.

Same here for me except I use the Palmer Extreme Cuts, woodsmans, snuffers, razorcaps, phantoms. Anything that will put a big whole in the animal for the best bloodtrail.

Overwhelming response with plenty of options. So far I'm leaning toward Zwickey, (as stated used them in the past), but will look seriously at Ace, Woodsman, Tuskers and possibly others.

We shoot a TON of critters and therefore use  and lose a lot of heads.  On smaller game such as deer, bear, hogs etc, I love Nativ broadheads.  I get them for less than $5 per head and they have never once failed me on 100+ animals.    

If I want to splurge with cost and my #1 pick for penetration on  really big game such as Eland, I go to the stinger.

Zwickey Eskimo's for me. I bought a dozen off an auction site a few years back at what I considered a real value. When they arrived there was two dozen in the package. I contacted the seller and informed them that I appreciated the early Christmas present and told them that I would send them another payment for the extra dozen. She couldn't believe that I was willing to do that. I told her that I was a member of Tradgang and that is in our code. She insisted that I keep them for being honest. I sent the payment anyways. So I have two dozen Eskimo's sharpened and ready.
