You might take a look at a Sarrels Blueridge or Blueridge SR. The Blueridge has been my goto bow since 2009!

I've owned most all of them.. My favorite is a Stewart Special... Shoots as fast as the fastest bow out there but stable and mild mannered as a longer longbow.. But only 62" long.....
For a longer reflex reflex the regular slammer is great.. I also like timber point bows....

We all have our favorites. I've liked Robertson longbows for many years and am now shooting a Toelke Whip. Any bow design is a compromise and for me, the Whip is about the best.

Actually, he is redesigning his website, so it is down for a little while. He has a facebook page you can find him on. I don't do fb, so I cant get you there.

Its hard to guide anyone to one specific bow.Thiers so many excellent choices and so many different styles of longbows.I can assure you any bow listed here will be a good bow.Certainly a good bow or great bow for the archer recommending it.But it might not be the bow for you.
I would go to a shoot with as many venders as possible and shoot as many bows as possible for a few days and see what you might find that you personally love.Denton Hill in PA. in July might as close as you can be from New Hampshire to find the needle in the haystack.Might be worth the trip and you would enjoy yourself.Bring some $.
Or just buy hundreds of bows second hand like many addicts over the years and see what you find out.

I have owned and own both Shrews and BW and I actually like them equally. However if I could only own one a recurve it would be a BW, if I could only own a Longbow it would be the Shrew.
However that's my opinion, like what is already mentioned to each their own. You need to shoot as many bows as possible!

Give Steve a call at Northern Mist, either his Superior or Baraga would probably fit the bill for you. Great guy to deal with and is always willing to talk with you and answer any questions.

What's your budget for said bow?
I'd recommend either a Toelke Whip, or a Maddog Prairie Predator.
