Really cool stuff......I love hunting out west.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I hunted high country mulies a few years ago. I never got a shot, super tough critter to hunt with a trad bow. These are impressive.

My one and only Mulie, New Mexico, Morrison Dakota 58" and 58# @ 29"; 30" LPP with a Woodsman on the end...  little over 30 yd shot 50 yd recovery...  Not the biggest buck out there, but the biggest one that showed up that day...    ;)   Horrible tasting "Sage/Cactus" meat... But I wasn't passing up that shot!    First Mulie to give me a chance at a harvest coming from a Minnesota upbringing...  And so far the only Mulie to do so...

Curious for those that have had success, were these deer killed from the ground or from a stand/blind?

Not to hijack the thread, just curious....

I'd actually seen him several times previously to our final encounter through my Swarovskis... But actually shot him over a water hole...  No blind, just tucked into the shadows...  Water was so low that literally the only chance at a shot was for something to come and put their nose in the water closest to me...  He did...  and I was lucky enough to make the shot...
