Hopefully this is ok here. My 14 year old son picked up a stickbow for the first time 2 months ago and was hooked. Since then he's watched video after video of shooting, form, and hunting. There's no telling how many arrows he's shot. Well yesterday, he took his first archery animal and it's the first traditional turkey taken by anyone in our house. He wanted to hunt with traditional gear and no blind. I wasn't sure if we could do it but we made it happen. His bow is a 54" Timberhawk Strike, 46# @ 28". Arrows are GT traditionals 600 spine with 145 grain woodsmans up front. Here's a link to the video.
He missed a longbeard last weekend due to a rushed shot but he was so close. I think we're getting the hang of it. That video link is here too:
We are brand new to filming and youtube so please be gentle. We were both extremely happy with both hunts. Hope you guys enjoy and appreciate the work he's put in over the last two months and his abilities as a hunter at such a young age.
