60" Silvertip saved from death.
« on: April 16, 2017, 12:59:00 PM »
Yesterday was my lucky day. Today i came into possession of a great condition Shaffer Silver-tip that my Uncle found in a pile junk left he was cleaning up from one of his rental units. He knew my love of Archery an Bow hunting and said it looked like something i would love to have instead of hauling it to the waste dump. Elk antler tips, Rattle snake skins, Antler limb knobs, checkered grip. Needs cleaned up and a little polishing needed, but damn, i feel up to that!!

In a pile of junk!!!  Hard to tell from the small pic but it looks like it was built by Paul.  What is the draw weight?

Yea,I need a little luck now and than. This was awesome luck. I couldn't believe it myself when i was handed it. Say's it was made by Dave and it's 70# at 26, myself i can't either believe something this nice was thrown in the trash. But there is people out there that never know what they have or what they are throwing away. Also maybe a upset ex-wife?

A free Tip. That's pretty sweet. You might go buy a lottery ticket too just in case.

Yaa a refinish would be nice and maybe another set of limbs.Might even be able to get the weight reduced on those limbs if their too heavy.

Lucky score!
