surewoods or something else?

I split a 100 shafts with my buddy and I am mostly happy with them. Was just wondering if anyone thought there was a stronger, heavier, straighter option? Im really enjoying tinkering with tuning and looking at elk setups where I would like to try other woods. Im going to go for more towards EFOC to try so maybe there is a better choice than Douglas Fir.

I'm no wood expert, but in my opinion no. If you want high FOC thats going to take higher spine and Douglas Fir seems to be the best, most consistent place to find that.
With aluminum or carbon, sure, but thats a different animal entirely.

If you want to put most of the arrow weight in the point rather than the shaft, POC and Sitka Spruce can be found at the same spines but a little physically lighter than Doug fir. Can usually find the physically lightest for a given spine in spruce. That being said, really won't find much difference among them.
All the hardwoods will be physically heavier and they recover slower than the softwoods so they're not good candidates for increasing FOC.
