Moving to Wisconsin
« on: May 15, 2017, 09:14:00 PM »
It has been a long time in the making but just today I handed in my resignation letter to my current employer and in a couple weeks I will have relocated to Wisconsin.

It all happened very quickly. Very, very quickly.  I accepted a position as an emergency dispatcher for law enforcement, fire, ems and 911.

I am very excited about my new career. I also am saddened to leave all the friends I have made here in NY through Trad Gang and Hudson Mohawk Traditional Archers, but at the same time Excited to meet folks I have met through here and Wisconsin traditional archers.

I regret not being able to say goodbye to my friends in person but it's the way it has to be. I will be however going to this Sunday's local 3 d shoot so I hope to see some of you there.

I look forward to better hunting opportunities and will miss some of the annual hunts I have done here and in the Adirondacks. I will always cherish the memories and friends in NY.

Wish me luck and please stay in touch.  If you're passing through central Wisconsin be sure to look me up.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Best of luck Charlie.  You will be surrounded by Bowhunters out in WI.  Check out the Ojibawa Bowhunters.  They are hosing a PBS Odd-Year gathering this July, and then Next year the PBS Gathering will be held in Madison.

Not to mention, you are now 1/2 way to the west, so might as well head the rest of the way to do some awesome hunting.

Welcome to Wisconsin. Central Wisconsin has some good deer hunting. Be sure to check out the Wisconsin Traditional Archers website when you get here.  We have a number of trad shoots listed throughout the summer.

Hope it works out well for you .
And you might just be able to get to the Kalamazoo trad archery show this next year . Just across the lake .

There are some good trad groups in Wisconsin and especially Michigan! Plus the deer hunting isn't bad I've heard and if you skip over the Canadian border it gets even better!
