Similar bow to Great Northern Ghost

What bows out there would give a similar feel/performance to a great northern ghost? I have a 64" 55#@28" ghost and absolutely love it. Would like to get another bow in 48-50# for late season cold weather when the muscles are a bit stiff. Ive had several other recurves including bear grizzly, 60" super kodiak, cheyenne, supermag 48, browning nomad stalker, an old pearson, howatt hunter and morrison and have tested pretty much everything else bear, martin, striker and hoyt make at the ata show and have yet to find something that compares to my ghost. Its so much smoother to draw and seems much faster than the others. I know the smoothness is probably coming from the 64" length but is there anything that i couod look into that would be similar in smoothness and speed?

You might take a look at the Toelke Super Static. Hard to find a recurve smoother or quieter.

Would any of the r/d bows compare on speed or is the recurve design inherently faster? I thought the strikers were pretty smooth but hard to compare on speed as they had around 400 grain arrows to test them with and i shoot between 700-750 grains. I dont want high speed with a light arrow, i just want acceptable cast with my super heavy arrows. Right now shooting 3 under with a 720 grain arrow my point on range is 30 yards which to me for my shooting style is ideal.

A McBroom Mojo possibly?

The mojo has a similar look but wonder how the feel would be being 4" shorter. The toelke 64ss does look very promising. Ive seen plenty pictures of toelke bow but have yet to get the pleasure of shooting one

True, I don't believe McBroom offers a 64" Mojo, but, he does offer a 60" Mojo.

If you really like that Great Northern bow, why would you want to look for something similar but made by someone else?

Would any of the ilf bows compare in performance? I have an olympic setup(25" riser with medium limbs) fully decked out but its not really a good comparison.

Ilf bows with higher end limbs usually perform better than many trad recurves.

You are going to have a very different "feel" with an ILF metal riser.  Not talking performance, talking the feel of the bow from set up to follow thru.  

What are you looking for?  Performance, accuracy, traditional appeal, cosmetic appearance, etc?  When you say better, what needs to improve?  

The best thing you can do as far as shooting a bow and arrow is shoot one bow, and learn that bow.  Not that model, that bow.  Archery is a martial art and developing a flow and consistency will happen if variables like the bow change less often.  

This many times leads to improved shooting.  No kidding.  Not what many people want to hear, but truth...

Really what im looking for when i mean performance is good cast without stacking of the draw and quiet. My great northern shoots much flatter than my grizzly and the super kodiak i had which is nice being that i like a very heavy arrow. Really my only complaint with the great northern isnt much of a complaint but more of a difference compared to others that ive shot and that is that its so light weight and not cut to center or past center

I hear ya.  I like a recurve cut to center or past also.  I have a Toelke coming Super Static 64".  It is hung up with USPS "In transition"!  When and If I get it, I will let you know what it is like.
 It is a very similar design to the GN ghost, 50 style recurve.  Mass weight can be added by adding a bow quiver.  I have always thought that this was a cool looking curve...

I guess unknowingly i became fond of the 50's style. Are they in general more streamlined in the riser area than more modern styles

I do not think there is an "exact" definition per say, of a "50's" style, but they are more streamlined riser, less mass typically is what that refers to by many bowyers.  The bow in the picture is a Black Widow Wilson Brothers is what I was told as I did not know the make.
