Jt85, the grip was a typical 59er grip with beaver tail on it. I never cared for the looks of beaver tail and was the first one I shot. But I liked the feel of it. The grip felt real nice. The bow was smooth and dead in the hand. It was a 2 piece and I didn't find that out til I was done shooting it. Big Jim can build a bow!
