Are the limb bolts on a take down supposed to be tightened all the way down?

Snug only, maybe 1/8 turn past when you feel it start to firm up with your fingers. I repeat do not use your hand/wrist/arm strength to tighten, only finger strength.  You don't want to crack the glass.

What nine worlds said, unless you have an ILF bow.  Those are usually not bottomed out.

Unless it's an ILF then they should be snug.

ILF are adjustable and should start in the midrange for adjustment (about 2 turns out from snug)
