New to me RER XR
« on: June 22, 2017, 07:45:00 PM »
Hi. Just traded for a RER XR recurve. Very nice, smooth and is my first static tip bow. It definitely does seem different than a working limb. Anyone have any experience with these. Does a full length easton axis 400 with 175 up front sound about right?
Thanks in advance,  Gary

I had and then sold an XR - wish I wouldn't have done that!  The one I had was build by Kevin - nice shooting - quick and quiet.

Need to know your draw weight and length to recommend arrow spine and tip weight.
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch

The 400 spine might work with a lot of tip weight. I would go with 500 spine.

I'm familiar with this bow. It's well made and very very accurate. Not sure if that's due te static limbs or not but it shoots really well

I have a #47 rer xr.  It likes .500 with alum inserts and 100 grains.  I draw 30".  Wonderful bow

I really like the way this thing shoots, could even be as good or better than my Silvertip. It is my first experience with a static tip, but seems very smooth
