Looks like you got a dandy Mikey! Skeeters are pretty tough up there. Seems like once one finds you he sends out a memo to all his buddies.

Thanks fellas! I can't say enough about this hunt. The food was great, the people were awesome, the size of the bears was phenomenal, the fishing was top notch, and if you haven't seen/heard of Jerry's dog Bear you definitely need to check him out.

Sure looks great. I need to know more about the fishing. I been to canada a lot and probably like the fishing more than the bear hunting.

As far as the fishing goes you can just fish the river or you can "rent" a lake with a boat. The folks at headquarters are really good about putting you on water that will produce fish. I know one lake that was stocked with trout 10" or bigger.

Sean there are 400+ lakes on our territory and a really large river.  The lake fishing can be off the charts.  It is pretty easy to catch crazy numbers of trout in a couple hours.

Ranger- The meat was still good. The temperature got pretty darn cool overnight to the point a fire and jacket was in order.

Looks like it was an excellent hunt, and I love the look of the fishing water there. As of now it looks like I'm booked up next summer, but the summer after I'll have to tag along and do some bear hunting with Jerry and Bear Dog.

You'll not be disappointed. Jerry ran an excellent camp and it was worth the drive just to watch bear dog in action.

Sounds great. Great bear too!  Ive been to three different places in quebec. I think 16 trips total and never been to a place that had trout. Brookies I assume?  Always crazy about the walleye. And the last place I went had unreal smallmouth fishing. But jerry's is the best camp for bears Ive ever known of in Eastern Canada. The boreal forest is just unreal. I spent most of my years going to reservoir gouin out of Senneterre. Over 100 miles on dirt roads and the worst bugs Ive ever seen. Always did all our own baiting. I miss it every June. Not many places you can do that anymore. I understand a lot of guys help run the baits at jerrys camp. Thats as fun to me as hunting. You learn so much more about bears too.
