Also will help you find your arrow in the woods, at 3d shoots, and in the yard.  They are usually pretty easy to remove (feathers and all) without damaging carbons.

They look good.  I find glue sticks better to them than the shaft.  When you need to redo your arrow because you plumb wore out the feathers, heat the wrap and it peels off.  No need to scrape and screw up the shaft.

The newer glues and aluminum arrows seem to be incompatible.  Put a wrap on and just about any glue will work.

They're decorative, can aid in seeing the arrow in flight or finding it after the shot, and glue sticks better to them than bare aluminum or carbon shafts.  A lot easier and less messy than crown dipping.

Of course, crown dipping and cresting, which the wraps take the place of, has been around for many years.  In addition to being a form of decoration, it also helped individuals identify their arrows, and be identified by their arrows, etc.

What Orion said. There has been a whole bunch of "why did my feathers fall off " threads over the years. Wraps can make the first timer successful because the shafts don not need the prep like when they are cap dipped.
 I buy plain ones and crest them just like a painted shaft. I even do "throw aways"  so I can try different combinations of colors and designs.

A very simple alternative to crown dipping. IMO, it makes for a very good looking arrow. Easier to see. Probably easier for fletching glues to adhere to. It's fast, easy and relatively inexpensive.

I always use wraps for my carbon arrows,glue stick better and makes them so much easier to redo later when fletching gets damaged.I use them sometimes on my aluminums also.On carbons they are easy to install and easy to remove without scraping off the old fletching.Carbons are tough arrows be can get damaged scraping off old or damaged fletching especially the woodgrain carbon arrows.

Have Fletch taped directly to 100+ dozen shafts over the past ten years. Have not lost a single fletch.

If one personally observes realistic benefits and personallybprefers the added attraction, then by all means go for it.

I've always wondered how animals see the reflective wraps??  Similar to the UV claims??  Sure look cool though...

In sunlight, they don't "glow", but do when you hit them with a beam after dark. I've never noticed any deer getting spooked by them. They actually just look like a broken pattern of white.

I've taken 4 deer the past two years using them.

At the angle the arrows coming the animals don't see the freaking rap get real.      

They also let you know how much penetration you got if you don't off leg bone or off shoulder or in the case of hogs you hit the dirt on the other side it gives you a gauge how much penetration

I did locate a deer 2 years ago as I was blood trailing it by shining my light ahead and immediately seeing the reflective wrap. The deer had went down with arrow shaft sticking up.

It looked like a neon light pointing down into the weeds.
