Great to see all the first timers this year!!!!
I'll be shooting one of three bows:
Elk and Mule deer:
TallTines 55@28 w/600 grain lodge pole or carbon arrows and snuffers or VPA
Whitetail:
Primal Tech 3 piece longbow 64" 50ish @ 28" 550ish grain arrow

And last but not least my selfbow 44#@28" which I am bound and determined to take a whitetail with this fall.

Here is my setup.

It is a 60'' 53# at 28'' take down recurve made by Rembow, Robert Macllvane from Vermont.

I found a Selway bolt on quiver on the bay for $40 and threw on some woodland camo limb skins.

I am shooting Black Eagle Vintage arrows with 250gr Cutthroat broadheads.

I am new to archery in general and I have been shooting trad bows for a few months now. This is my first season hunting with a trad bow and my second archery season. I haven't shot my compound since bringing this bow home.

I am busting my butt trying to become proficient so start hunting black bear next month and deer in the fall.

Right now, I'll be taking a Bear Green Stripe TD and a Morrison Shawnee on my elk hunt, with Easton 400s,600 grain Axis arrows and Abowyer, Zwickey and STOS broad heads.

For whitetails later in the year, it will be an A&H ACS, Liberty Chief, GN Critter Gitter, J.D. Berry Taipan and Hill Big 5.  Will be shooting .500 Axis shafts about 500-540 grains and Sweetland forge woods  and Woodsman heads.

Life is too short to shoot only one bow.

Since going trad, I've always been a recurve shooter. This year I will be chasing the whitetails with a long bow. Better yet, it's the first bow ever made by yours truely.
Bow is a 56" D/R, 54#@28".
Will be using aluminum shafts w/ 200gr  2-blade VPAs up front.

Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

Surewood Shafts I'm working on, put the last dip on couple nights ago, ready for cresting, then fletching, going with 2 pink and 1 white 5' sheild cut.
