Northern Mist Service
« on: July 24, 2017, 05:22:00 PM »
I gotta say....last Wednesday I strung my Northern Mist Ramer to shoot my league, and the string broke. Now understand....it is over a year old, been shot thousands of times, and I am not gentle on my bows. That string has shot 2 leagues, 1 deer season, a rabbit season, and I don't know how many carp and gar. So when it broke, my only disappointment was that I didn't have a spare.

I sent Steve Turay a text about 8:00 Wednesday night..."Hey Steve, string broke on my Ramer, 66". Can you send 2?"

Today, Monday, they arrived in the mail. If that isn't high speed low drag service, I don't know what is. Thank you Mr. Turay!!!!

Steve is definately top notch!!!  I ordered my Ramer after the shoot in Kazoo, i had it the week of Comptons.  Best way to get ahold of him is give him a call, I was finalizing all the payment details with him while he was working on my bow!!!

Steve is definitely a great guy!! His bows and craftsmanship is second to none. If I was to get in touch with him it would be a phone call and early in the morning would probably be best.

I I have known Steve since 1999. I don't think I have ever emailed him. We have always communicated between text and phone. He may have missed your email.Believe me....Steve is one of the good guys.

I run 2 small business's, and absolutely every week I find a few emails that were sent to a junk folder, etc.

I would suggest trying to contact him again rather than be critical of him here, in a thread started to give him a high 5.

I have known Steve for several years and have bought a couple of bows from him. I agree with all the praise that has been given him by others.

I would want a bowyer TOO busy to answer my emails.

A phone call is the way to go with most businesses.

As mentioned, Steve is top shelf. He made me a custom ordered Baraga.  I have shot many deer with it including my only stone tipped arrow kill. My bow is 40# @ 28".

The service and customer satisfaction Steve provides is SECOND TO NONE in my opinion. He has always gone the extra mile in making sure you have a bow in your hand that you don't want to put down.

Looks as if I jumped the gun, I apologize for that. Steve answered my email today and informed me he was having computer issues. I had not considered that there could be an issue and that is my fault.
It is clear that most people's experience with Steve have been great.
