Ed Scott Owl Bows

Hey guys,
So I inherited one of Ed's bows a few years back, and I've listed it to sell it since I'm just not shooting it all that much. But I really don't know much about these bows, so I wonder if you guys could chime in on your opinions. Am I being a dummy to get rid of it? Its definitely a piece of art, and I don't have much idea of the value so I may trying to sell it too cheap or for way too much. Its a snakeskin backed osage longbow. Thoughts?

The Owl Bows by Mr. Scott are considered to be some of the finest pieces in terms of looks and performance. It's tough to put a price on just about any bow since there is no price guide to follow. Also, there is just not enough of the Owl bows being sold to come up with an average..and no more will ever be made like his.
I would say that if your bow has some nice art work as well as having a popular draw weight and length, it would probably sell if priced in the $500-600 range.
You would be no dummy to sell it if not using it since I doubt the Owl Bow will ever increase too much beyond the value I stated. Buying or keeping bows for investment purposes is not smart economically. Good luck.

Fyi-- there is a very cool video of him on YouTube. He goes into great historical detail behind his bows.

Ed did a fantastic job building his bows.
I wish I got one from him before he passed.
Let us know how/ where you plan on selling it.
What are the specs?
