Photos from Deaf Camp 2017
« on: August 14, 2017, 01:48:00 PM »
The Outdoor Skills Camp for the Hearing Impaired was held this past weekend at the H. Roe Bartle Boy Scout Reservation in Osceola, MO and the United Bowhunters of Missouri ran the archery range for the campers as always. Due to some construction, the range was moved to a temporary setting but everything went smoothly and everyone had a lot of fun. How can you not enjoy popping balloons and killing foam animals? It's quite gratifying when the kids and parents start asking about how they can get their own bows and arrows so they can shoot at home. Thanks to all the UBM members who volunteered their time and talent to this worthy cause!

Darren

That is just wonderful.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

This was our 16 th year with UBM handling the archery.
I mostly do sit down jobs anymore. Did get to help one little fellow.
The smiles and excitement make it all worth while.
