New Centaur Broad Head

I'm thinking about introducing a new broad head. I have 2 right now on the market. The Big Game Head glue-on at 180 gr. and the Battle Axe at 200 gr.
I am proposing a head that is similar to the Big Game Head as far as cutting width at 1 3/4" but shorter in length as the Big Game Head is 2 7/8" and the new head would be only 2 3/8" long. The blade thickness would be .050 instead of the .062 in the Big Game Head and total weight would be around somewhere between 130 and 140 gr. All heads are custom ground for either right or left bevel or double bevel.

Just thought I would put it out there to hear some feedback from the Traditional community. Thanks in advance.

I like the idea of that in a double bevel a lot.  Be around 160-170 with a screw in adapter.  Same weight as my deltas but a bigger hole!!  I'll be whatching this one

I've been shooting the 175 Tiger Sharks and it sounds like it may be similar to its profile right?

I would prefer a screw in design also at 175

Yes, even better just offer it in a screw in and I wouldn't have to mess with glueing the adapter in. 150 would be perfect!

I really like the glue on design as it allows me to change out inserts and get lots of different weights with the same head.

I think it's a good idea.  Might thicken it up a little bit and hit 145 or 160 to hit standard weights people are used to.  .050 at that wide might not be the most durable head but thats not the end of the world.

I love the idea of a bit lighter head. I agree that making them more of a standard like 145 would be good.

A head like you are speaking of would compete really well with Simmons most popular head...especially with Simmons having discontinued their glue on designs!
I agree that trying to hit 145 or 150 would be nice for some folks.

Maybe do a head that with a 75 gr steel adapter hits the 175 to 200 gr mark. So a 100gr or 125 gr glue on.

My arrows this year have 100 gr steel inserts and tune with 200 gr points (300gr total).

Id imagine that a lot of people prefer steel adapters and inserts over aluminum ones.

Maybe do a 125 gr glue on, with your .062" thick steel and a 1-1/2" or so cutting diameter. That would make a stout head that would penetrate a little better for guys with lighter bows or for bigger critters.

You will definitely pick up the Simmons market in that range since they have dropped glue on, and knowing how well built and durable your other two heads are, I will be watching for the new ones. I really like the big game heads that I have so you build them and I will make an arrow to fit them.

I've shot a bunch of game with the 135 and 150 gr Tigershark. I bought like 3 dozen right before Simmons moved to MT. I would definitely be interested in a glue on version.  The glue on Centaur ferrules have been WAY more consistence than the Simmons ever were. 145-150 would be perfect.
