Heading to the tundra tomorrow!
«
on:
August 25, 2017, 07:54:00 AM »
I will be starting the long drive to Montreal tomorrow morning where I will meet up with 5 other stickbow shooters so we can go chase caribou in northern Quebec. I have always wanted to see the migration and this is my chance to do so. I have a DeLorme InReach device and will be posting occasionally with it to document our adventure. If you want to follow along you can do so by:
1) going to this link:
https://share.garmin.com/DarrenHaverstick
2) Searching on Facebook for posts under my name or United Bowhunters Of Missouri
3) Follow unitedbowsofmo on Twitter.
I will be back to civilization on 9/6 and I will share some stories and photos then.
Wish me luck!
Darren

Have a safe trip Darren! I was blessed in 2003 to experience the migration and you really have to see it to believe it. Looking forward to your updates! Mike

Wishing you a great trip - caribou... black bears... ptarmigan/grouse... migrating birds... fish... various other wildlife... blueberries... scenery... fresh air... northern lights... solitude... and much more.
I ran a caribou camp up there for 16 years, and I miss it!
We get the winter migration where I live but it's not the same.
