Episode 35 - Zach Owens - The Push Podcast
« on: August 29, 2017, 08:45:00 AM »
Hey everyone!

Check out Episode 35 of The Push Podcast. We spent the evening with Zach Owens.

In this episode we discuss Zach's transition into traditional archery over the last two years. We spend some time reviewing over his 2017 hunting season so far and most importantly Zach tries his best to articulate the internal mental warfare an archer transitioning from more modern equipment struggles with when choosing their weapon for an upcoming hunt. This episode is really cool and a lot of new traditional archers converting from more modern equipment can probably relate to Zach's internal struggles.

We are joined by Ian Kohlhofer for the intro to kick off his 27 day back country elk hunt where the first 3 weeks will be spent solo in the back country.

Good listen got me to the airport and then to the hotel. Liked the conflict between bows with wheels and those with none.
Modern hunting is not all it's cracked up to be and more and more people are realizing it isn't the escape it once was. Technology is the blame along with greed. For me it comes down to where my heart and mind set is at when I'm out in the woods.
