Is Rudder Bows, still in business?
« on: September 10, 2017, 04:48:00 AM »
I had bought bow building supplies from him for some years back, could not find them on the internet, I think that is their online name? All help appreciated, have several youngsters wanting to buy a kit, build their own, helping them along!

Rudder reinvented himself several times under different names to salvage the operation after disappointing a number of customers with subpar items.  Brought it on himself if you ask me.  There is an individual on fleabay named Archeybowman selling bows located in the same town that Rudders was, very similar to what Rudders was building, but they seem to be of a higher quality and he has 100% feedback.  Perhaps its someone who was working for him? I don't know.  In the past he was supplying inexpensive reenactment bows to 3Rivers, but not sure if he still is.

It really doesn't surprise me much, these days even if a bowyer/company is putting out a superior product, it's hard to keep up with the well known companies, who have earned their position/respect.  If it weren't for my ability to get by on meager income I would have folded several times already. They gave it a good effort though.
