Bodnik Slick Stick just broke, now what?
« on: September 11, 2017, 08:10:00 PM »
I went to draw my bow back and halfway through the draw it snaps! I'm sure it has a warranty but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do now. If anyone knows how you do the warranty thing please let me know, thanks. This is the third year I've had it and only 3 weeks before deer season. I tried to post a picture using Imgur but apparently it doesn't work so well anymore

Hmm call Jim Belcher ? He the one in charge of Bearpaw USA I believe.

You could also message Henry Bodnik on FB he does actually respond frequently.

30 year warranty to any owner.  Call Jim Belcher or the boys at Kustom King.

henry will respond to you on facebook if you have it. he will be able to point you in the right direction but KK should as well. Best of luck those are great bows and if my memory serves me right I think about 2.5-3 years ago they had an issue of production ran with bad glue....
I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6

Let's be fair to Henry Bodnik.  You wouldn't directly contact the CEO of Ford Motors, before you went to the dealership where you bought it from and gave them a chance to solve the problem.

I don't think you have anything to worry about if you have the 30 years warranty.  it seems to be honoured here in Germany.

Cheers
Alex

I'd contact Kustom King.  Good chance they'll send you a new one and have you send them the broke one.  Or, they'll instruct you to call Jim Belcher as I believe he is the US BearPaw Warranty center.

The best thing to do is get ahold of the business from whom you bought it, or the bowyer that made it, tell them about it.  (Keep it between you and them.)

Thanks guys for the help! I contacted kustom king about it and talked to Tim. He said that 3 years ago they had some problems with the glue and that it was changed to a different type. They also changed the walnut risers to nutmeg in the 58" models. My riser pretty much split in half on mine. All Tim needed was my serial #, the specs and picture of the damage. Two days later I had my new bow and string, also gave me a peppermint lol. All the bows now have a lifetime warranty so I don't see where anyone could go wrong with a Slick Stick. Thanks to kustom king archery for speedy service!
