Nice buck Tim.  Been hit and miss for me the last two weeks as far as movement.  Had two good nights.  Been splitting my time between Adair Co on my lease and Jefferson at my brothers house.

Nothing has been doing the last week or so.  2 weeks ago I had the buck I wanted in the food plot I expected but he decided to jump the fence at a different spot than I willed him to in my mind. Apparently my Jedi tricks are no match for deer. He stayed at 40yds for 20min.  Doh!

We hunted our new farm this morning. Had a doe come by, but she was a little small. Fixing to head back out.

I missed a chip shot at a hen this morning. Can't help but laugh at myself. The wife and I took the evening off from hunting to get a few chores done and rest up a bit. We will be back at it again tomorrow morning.

No deer for me this morning. My wife had a 3.5 year old 8 pointer at the base of her stand and all around this morning, but gave him a free pass.

I've been wanting to contribute to this thread but just have had a few hunts in. I hunt down around Steeleville, MO.

Last Sat morning hunted for several hours and just saw a coyote at about 100 yds. Sat eve had a nice fat doe come by about 5:30. Heart shot her and she took off 100 miles an hour. It got quiet real quick but never heard her go down. Waited a while and an older doe with a young one out of spots came by.

I shot her low and tight and had a lot of arrow hanging out so was a little worried. I could see my four fletch orange arrow about 30 yds from the hit. Took up the trail and the arrow was broken off about 6 or 7 inches of past the point. Followed some blood and the front part of the arrow with the broadhead was about 15 yds further. Just about 25 yds more blood trail and there she was. Didnt go 50 yds. Must have died on the dead run or stopped and died. Arrow must have struck the far shoulder / leg bone and came out.

Wifey got bonus wife points helping with pics and the recovery as well as a big pot of chili back at the cabin.

Got her hung up (deer not wife  :)  and it got down to 25 overnight Had a deersicle in the morning.  :)

Just getting into the Igmur thing but havent got it yet. Would post some pics if I can email them to someone to post for me.

Forgot to add that she walked by a game cam 10 seconds before the shot. That was pretty neat...

Attaboy John!!  Love shootin a double - as long as I can get the wheeler to them ha

Had some longbeards swagger by last night at about 50 yds - and then a 130" 8pt fed on acorns at about 60.....he was fun to watch - had a doe slip behind me but she took the wrong trail.
Tonight should be another good night....weather is great

Just read my post and it does seem like I shot a double kinda. Just shot the first doe. That's enough for me to handle in one night!

Man,I just missed another turkey. Only had a head to shoot at about 20 yards. I swear I must've trimmed some hairs.

We are hunting our new farm this morning. We had a very tempting 3.5 year old 8 point come by, but he got a free pass. Maybe next year. We are looking for a couple of old bucks that frequent the place, or a mature doe.

Stay after them Jake!
