Let's count that would be 1 elk, 1 big black bear, and 1 nice buck taken by Jim in the last year all with that Zipper longbow. I'd say " he da man"!!!

Had a small buck go under me at about 6:30 this morning too dark to see how big he actually was. I also had 3 does within 10 to 20 yards but I held off hoping the was a mature buck following them . I was tempted to take the last one in line she was the one at 10 yards.

Did a 3 hour sit this afternoon.....close to home. Really not much going on, heard some turkeys a ways off but never saw them. Saw 3 does, they were by my truck and the land owners house when I came out at 6:15. Not the first time that has happened........lol.

Sat this evening for just over 3 hours and saw a lone doe about 40 yards out around 3 pm. My wife and I just pulled into our driveway after having dinner with friends and had 2 doe by my garage. Wife said maybe I should put a stand up....lol

Great buck Jim, congrats!

The weather will be warm again on Saturday but I'll be out. Going to hunt a stand I haven't hunted in years that is a primary scrape area. It's on public ground but for the last ten years it was posted by the adjoining landowner and he had his kids swings and picnic tables on the property. The county must have found out and removed the property and took down the posted signs last year. Hopefully it's as good as it was years ago. The scrapes last week had just barely been touched.

Did a sit this AM.......not much going on in the woods today. The squirrels seem happy........still pretty warm. Maybe after the storm this weekend things will change......lets hope so!!!!!
