The sweet smell of sucess and HOTDOGS
« on: November 05, 2007, 11:50:00 PM »
Its been a rough year so far.  I have shot under 3 deer at 10 yards.  Man they are hard to hit that close.  This little guy offered a shot at 22 and I drilled it, so I guess I need them a little farther out.  I called home and told Mindy I was bringing home a prize, then she told Gavynn (our oldest) I had a prize for her.  She really likes when I bring home critters and is most of the "Hero Pics".  When I arrived she was across the street playing with some neighbor kids and all the kids wanted to come and see my deer.  I couldn't get Gavynn in the pic, but I got the rest of the bunch.  The girls are sisters and the boys are brothers.  All the kids thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread, well, except the little blond girl.  She gave me a sad look, and said I quote "poor little deer"  I responded with "Sugar we are going to make hot dogs out of it".  Her face LITE UP with a big grin and replied with "Really, can you get me one too"  I might have told a little white lie about the hot dogs, but I will sure share the jerky.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm...hotdogs.  There is a butcher around here that will turn deer into cheese dogs too.

I like the pic, especially of the little one on the left with her foot up on the deer.  Those kids are something to be proud of!

Great job!  :clapper:

Thats a great pic as well.  The little one that has her foot up cracks me up.  Reminds me of the big game hunters of years past.  Foot on top of there prize.
