Bear hunter takedown value?

Looking at a bear hunter takedown.  About 30 yrs old.  In pretty good shape.  Think the riser may have been drilled for quiver but haven't seen the bow in person yet.
What's a average or fair price for a bow like this?  It's 60" #55

I see these pop up for sale from to time to time for around the $200 price point (give or take based on condition).

If it's in decent shape it's worth more than $200. Just the riser is worth that I would think and the limbs can go for 150-200 dollars. Also depends on what it is as far as year of manufacture.

I have purchased two within the last ten or so years, one left hand and one right hand.
I paid $200 and $150 respectively and both were in good to above condition.

Also, they have 55# and 50# limbs.

Ron, I think you mean the Bear A or B Riser TD's...the Hunter TD are a lesser model and sold for much less. Typically they were an actionwood riser (I beleive) and limb bolts.  Not bad shooters - but no more than $200.

YEP......I thought we were talking about A's and B's.........I agree then , I would pay 200 for a one but would have to like new or better.

You are correct Mr. Cook, action wood and limb bolts.
I actually bought the left hand riser for my son with 55# limbs and they proved to be too much weight.
Bought the right had 50# just for the limbs since they interchange and that worked much better for my son.
You would be hard pressed to find limbs lower than 50#s, looked for years.

Yep. As others have said...around $200. I've got one that I use as my bowfishing rig. They are tough old bows.

I think I gave $225 for mine and got two sets of limbs with it, a set of 50# and a set of 60#. I've killed thousands of fish with the 50 pounders, everything from suckers to stingrays.
