« on: January 26, 2007, 06:51:00 PM »
hi everyone, im a new member from reno nevada. i just got into trad archery about a year ago. i shot a compound for a year and harvested a deer with it but i realized that it wasnt quite the challenge i was looking for. i got my first lonbow for x-mas last year. a 63lb @ 28 custom made by rex moore. i love that bow. i had a deer tag in 06 but didnt get closer than 35 yards. i think ive found the challeng ive been looking for lol. i was wondering if anyone on here is from the reno area.

Howdy howdy, I'm sure there are other Nevadians around (is that a word?).

From Orygun myself.

Enjoy the site, great folks here.

Welcome Bryan! As everyone has said previosly u will love this place, and also what Terry said, hope u have a really understaqnding better half.
I went to a range aa few days a go, a lot of wheelie shooters there. When I went in there wasn't anyone. I took down the targets and put a small red plastic thing up, about 2 1/2" diam. I sot at it a couple times, then went to ask the store owners a question. When I came back a wheelie shooter had pinned it twice. That just confirmed to me that wheelie bows are just like guns. Anyway, real bows don't have sights, right. LOL!

thanks everyone. its hard enough trying to juggle a full time job and being a full time college student, now i have this addiction to deal with. last year i shot in a few shoots and did pretty darn good i thought. my first shoot i took 2nd and id only been shooting for 2 months. after that, all hell broke loose and i started picking up some bad habbits. i was not coming to full draw. i took a break from shooting for a few months and and have just started shooting again. so far so good but im sure ill start doing something wrong again.

Welcome, Bryan..     :wavey:      :campfire:      :archer:
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"
