2017 bear with Jerry Russell
« on: October 25, 2017, 09:26:00 PM »
I got my bear head back from the European skull specialist.
(Aka Dad). This was the bear that I took with Jerry Russell in Quebec. I have let it dry the appropriate time and bummed a big set of calipers. Today was cold and rainy and with the local turkey population playing hard to get I measured him. The unofficial score measured over Pope and Young minimum.  So needless to say it put icing on the cake from a great hunt and for a first bear.

Man that looks great.  I felt sure he would go P&Y.  That bear had one of the most beautiful hides I have ever seen. The bait you shot him at always has a couple monsters on it each year. In fact, two of the four bears we tracked that morning made P&Y.

Congratulations!

That looks great. A bear hunt with Jerry is in my future. Saving my money now and should have it all saved up in a couple of years.

Jerry pulled a tooth and left it with the proper authority in Quebec. As for results on it I probably never will know.
