My Granddaughters were the proud recipient of a Mad Dog Pup about a year back now.

The TGMM Family of the bow, Mike and the guys that run the children program have help so many to experience the joy of archery and I'm doing my part to get it in as many hands as possible.

The last two years at our church Harvest Fest I have ran an archery shoot and I have had no problems getting the kids interested!

They have throughly loved it! Here's a few pic's from this years.

I didn't take a pic of the ballon carnage it was "TOO GRAPHIC" not suitable for such a family oriented forum as Trad Gang

Top of my Head I counted at least 26 separate child from 3 to 12, and teens on up to young adults all wanting to shoot and shooting!

And then these continue to cycle back through time after time. We shot non stop from 4pm till 7pm. 3 hours of nothing but shot after shot.

All kids got a bag of candy after shooting.

In the end I set up a game of archery Tic Tac Toe between the teen Girls against the teen Boys.

6 balloons, 2 sets of 3, of different colors were scattered on the hay bails. A set of 2 girls and 2 boys were given 4 arrows, one girl and boy acted as the arms bearer and fed the arrows to the shooter on their team.

When the signal was given they could shoot as fast as they could with the first to pop all of their colored ballon declared the winner.

To say it was a blast would be an understatement

Good for you! It instills a hunt mode for them. I just came back for a hunt from a kid I taught at the same age that connected. It does happen. Congrats to you and the future hunter you made.

Good! It is really good to see such events. Anything that gives young people a chance to enjoy good, clean fun is great. It is even greater when it furthers our wonderful sport. Again, good job.
