I see fawns here in Texas in December, but they were all born in the May to July time frame!

Saw one on my game camera card today that had no spots and was almost big as it's mother that was nursing.

I actually saw a whitetail here in Md. standing about 12 yards from me loaded with spots with several whitetail does and that was on January 15th about 15 years ago!
That wasn't a "Sika" deer here in Md. but a whitetail fawn still with spots!

I have seen a few spotted fawns as late as October but not as late as December.

One year it was late muzzleloader in NJ so it was later December. Couple guys did a drive and 2 spotted fawns came out. Don't think they were 30-35 lbs. Not sure if they lived. I saw them and initially thought some sort of small canine type creature.
