I din't understand.
« on: November 16, 2017, 12:20:00 AM »
I have three custom bows and I remember the wait to get them.
Well I ordered a Javaman Helms Deep a while back and Greg told me he was several month out.
That's no problem, just hope to get it by next spring.
I'm 61 years old and my waiter isn't working very good.    :knothead:

Worst/best part of the process the wait and anticipation.

Longest I’ve had to wait for a custom was 14 months, and now I don’t remember if it was my first Blacktail or my Shiloh. The worst part of the wait was right after ordering, and the last month or so when you know it’s getting close!!!

I have waited myself in the past when I was young-er but not any more. I don't mind 2 months maybe 3 but 7or more months, no thank you.

Life's too short and you never know what's around the corner. Go look and see what they have in stock and find one that comes close to the weight and you get your bow within a few days.

I waited 28 months for a promised 12 month bow. ALL inquiries were met with nastiness and threats to keep a big part of the hefty deposit. I really wanted him to shove it but I kept on waiting.

I finally got the bow but I sure wasn't thrilled with it like I should have been. It mostly just hangs on the wall. I would sell it but it developed a blemish in the tip that looks like potential trouble.

He's out of business now and I'm glad. Sorry for the rant. Ah, I feel better.  :)

I'm sure your Javaman will be great and worth the wait. I've heard nothing but good things.

I am older than you, the wait for the 'sunset', my name for it, almost killed me.  Two weeks after i got it, it seemed like have always had it and the pain of the waiting was gone.  I now am in a weird situation.  I do not want another bow the four i have are all i want.   I could use another pair boots, I mean really, a guy could never have too many boots and shoes for outdoor fun.  Just watch your step in my bedroom.   My closet will hold just so many and I have run out room under my bed.

I've had 16 custom bows made all of which I've been completely satisfied with. The longest I've waited from order to delivery was 29 days.

The good news is Gregg is making them full time, so the wait has been reduced.

The bad news is that his bows just keep getting prettier and better and that makes any wait hard   :D

I've got a Cari-Bow Featherhorn I am waiting on which will be in all black/white ebony.

It's been a long few months lol.

Expecting to see it in the next few months...

Ordered back in April.
