A morning to remember
«

I have been hunting a small 12 acre piece of ground for the last 8 years and have seen some real dandy bucks on it but never could quite seal the deal. The property was logged 2 years ago and the woods became much more open and the deer changed their travel routes. Well this year I decided to draw them out of the thickets and cedars by using a buck decoy.
It is still Missouri gun season but I was determined to shoot a buck with the stick.
This morning at 750 this buck came in to beat up on the decoy. He was slightly quartering to but at 22 yards the arrow struck him behind the shoulder. Complete pass through and he went 70 yards. He is a 9 point and I am a happy hunter.
Bow was a Tall tines recurve 47@27
Gt Trad 3555's cut to 29"s with 100 grain inserts and 125 grain magnus stinger head.
Thank you,
Kevin

Way to stick it out during gun season with different tactics, it paid off! Congrats on a fine buck, your smile says it all.
