string for a John McCollough Raco?

Hello all. I picked up a 47# McCollough Raco off ****, but it doesn't have a string. Have owned recurves but new to longbows, and am at a loss regarding a string. Can I get a recommendation?

Typically you would want a string that is 3 inches shorter than the marked length of the Raco.Sixty four inch bow would most likely take a 61 inch string. Not guaranteed though.A string with small loops for longbows like the Raco.Thier are more than a few excellent stringmakers in the (Sponser Links) of Trad Gang.Take a look.
I can personally recommend SBD Bowstrings (Silent But Deadly).Very well made and very quiet shooting with excellent overall performance.I like wool or acrylic puffs on them for silencers.

I'll second what Steelhead said on the length. If it's marked correctly, the string should be 3" shorter than that length.
If it's made to accept "fast flight" type materials, BCY-X is my favorite. If not, B-55.
