Well I just figured out how to post pics so i hope they work alright.
I have been hunting 4-5 days a week since the beginning of Oct. I have seen a couple good bucks but have not been able to capitalize. This buck came in at last light on Nov. 3. The shot was 23 yards from a tree stand. he came trotting acrossed a cornfield after I had rattled. I didn't have much time to deside wether or not I was going to take a shot or not because he was closing fast. needless to say I stopped him quartering away with a grunt. He went 100 yards and I heard him crash. Like I said the buck was quartering away so if you can see the hole in his side it will look far back, but it isn't. arrow entered a just behind last rib and came out right behind offside shoulder. I did get a pass through, but arrow hung out offside for 20-30 yards before fallin out. My bow is a warf. Hoyt riser with KAP carbon limbs. bow is 55#@30" and I shoot 500gr. carbons w/4 blade zwickey eskimos mounted on adapters. This bow is the first bow i have shot off of a rest. I love all wood bows and shooting off the shelf, but for some reason i shoot lights out with this bow. It is 61" long and the limbs do not stack at all at my 30.5" draw. But anyways here are some pics. He is a main frame 8 with a double g-3 or a sticker on his g-3 whichever it would be considered. He isn't the biggest buck in the woods, but I am tickled and I made a great shot.
