when they are that mangy they usually don't make it thru the winter..
I once killed a almost pure orange(pale orange) rabbit, beagles brought it around and on 1st pass I let it go cause I thought I was seeing things.. after I shot it skinned it out and put in freezer going to get it tanned then forgot about it until 2 yrs later and it was ruined.
