I’m back at the Tiny House melting the ice off me and my gear , was fun but nothing to show for my efforts. I missed 10 shots this morn some in the air and most on the water , only have a few feathers to show for it. My cameras both froze , one just quit working and the buttons on my action can froze solid. Going to sit this afternoon and hope a hog walks by or maybe an Axis deer ( have free range axis here ). Will try for ducks again in the morn then head home , weather says it’s going to be colder tomorrow ....

I have a small kayak here for getting arrows and I hope dead ducks. It is snow/sleet mix going on now and everything is frozen. My hunt tonight was slow only saw one whitetail buck and he had shed his antlers and a fox and a coon. The small lake I’m hunting ducks on is about 8 acres in size. I moved my decoys around a little so hope in the morn they like it better..

Good stuff Sam! Congrats.

I know it gets cold down there and I know it snows but somehow I never associate snow and ice with texas lol.
