I have been tossing around the idea of using wood arrows. I have been using carbon and dabbled with a few aluminum's in the past but recently I have had the itch to put together some wood arrows. I'm about 99% sure I'm going to go with some Douglas firs. I just like the idea of the heavier weight, durability of them, and nostalgia of the wood arrow in general. I'm probably going to shoot 150 grain points. My current bows that I'll be shooting them out of are a 64" Black Widow PLX 54# at 28" (my draw is 28") and a 60" Black Widow PMA 50# at 28". I know you can get a "test kit" with various spine weights, but wanted to know what most of you have found worked for / flew the best for you in those bow weights?
