Shot this doe on North Louisiana Public Land. She came in to a Nutall oak that was still dropping a few acorns.
Had a huge 8pt was coming in but got my wind at 60 yards. Palmer Longbow 47#@26” 64” amo.
Goldtip 3555 shaft with Dirtnap 125gr head, 500 total grains of arrow weight.

Public land AND late season both add to the difficulty and challenge of harvesting game. I imagine it was a very satisfying experience.

Congrats on a public ground doe and finding a hot tree this time of year. That takes some time. I'm gonna hunt public ground next week that looks similar to the background in your photo.
