My son Trent and I were at the KS bunny stomp this past weekend and found this one. Pretty cool 3 point.

It's amazing to me how many of you find sheds...I've spent hours looking numerous times over my lifetime and have NEVER found a single shed.  My 6 year old at-the-time son (he's now 10), found one outside my aunt's home just playing.  A year later, he was running around the woods at an outdoor wedding venue after the ceremony and found another on the edge of the woodline.  Here I am...37 years old and have NEVER found one after looking MANY times.  I must not have the magic touch.

Had a good day today. Went to some public and found a fresh 4 point side and 3 dead heads.

Keep at it, you will find one when least expected. I've only found a year old one while looking for them. The rest came while scouting and dragging out deer.

found this one, thought it was a dead stick at a distance because it was so long.... then started looking for the other side.   i was so excited when I found the other side I forgot to take a picture of where it was laying.

this the second matched pair I have ever found.

Any advice on where to look in hill and valley terrain like N.W. Georgia? Ridges, valleys, thickets? We also have some small food plots, a couple of lakes and creeks on the property.
I've only found a couple of small sheds in my 56 years of hunting, so I am overdue!

I got to see a dandy one side today, a kid I know chased me down to show me a chewed year old 6 point side.

Base was about 6" C (est) and between G2 and G3 was really thick and kind of webbed. He had measured it and for you numbers guys it scored 74" with the ends chewed off almost all points.

I know it was the heaviest the farthest out on main beam of any rack I've seen here. Wish I'd gotten a pic.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

We have a herd from california that winters above my house.  Last week the bucks still sported headgear, but they hang in the same stands of mountain mahoganies so I am hopeful. Our DOW is talking permits to shed hunt.  All about money

I can understand permits to sell antlers but permits to be allowed to search for them? really?

Next you will need permits to go berry picking! damn, I may have just gave those darn grubby, money mismanaging grass holes another revenue source.      :scared:

I will leave an antler lay on the ground before paying to pick it up.

If we are supposed to start paying to pick them up I guess I'm just gonna be an outlaw. The government takes enough money from us as it is.

I was thinking the same thing.......I will not pay for something I found in the woods.......just won't tell anyone. What's next, pay to pick mushrooms for your own use.

Spent about 3hrs walking today. As usual, the big sheds I’m looking for continue to elude me. But I didn’t come home empty handed. Found another monster to add to the collection.

Hey, it's tough to find them small ones.......well done. It will be easy to see the big ones down the road.
