Ever seen a folding bow like this?
« on: February 02, 2018, 05:25:00 PM »
I was at my local archery store today and they had this just sitting there.    Anyone ever seen anything like it?   Joints seems very well built and in the fadeouts

That's really interesting. I've never seen a bow like that before. Did you get to shoot it?

It shot alright nothing to really complain bout It has a super crappy string on it not even b50. So i bet it would shoot a heck of a lot better.  The joint seems like carbon or something its not steel.

Pretty clever. Possibly a home grown alteration?

Looks cool, but can't help but think that is going to blow up in spectacular fashion......could be wrong?

Looks home grown and looks like it would slow the bow down and/or blow up some day.

No reason for it to go boom if the lams were glued  well.    The joints themselves are super over built and in the fadeouts. Hard to see in the pic but lock in an L shape and its mostly carbon or something.

That's a first for me.  If it stands the test of time, it looks dang handy in my opinion.

Either Colt or Browning had a bow like that years ago. It was on the market for a year or so.

I wish I still had my collection of Bowhunter Magazines that went all the way back to the very first issue...I'm sure I could look it up.  When I saw the post my first thought was BROWNING that had a fold-down hunting bow.  It would have been back in the 70's sometime.

I looked online and found a picture of it.  It had a much sleeker fold-down design.
