You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

Went calling late sat morning. First two stands nothing. Third stand in some mature almonds. Started with some bunny death screams for about three minutes. waited about five minutes and started doing some lonesome fox howls. Would do one maybe two minutes apart. Fifteen minutes later was thinking about moving and heard some growling right behind me.
Turned my head and there was a big guy maybe ten yards in back of me all fluffed up and tail between his legs walking in on me. Drawing as I turned and took the shot. He spun and took off.
Good blood on the arrow and good stuff on the ground.

Real good stuff on the ground.

About sixty yards later.
Big mature male with battle scars on his face and for legs.
And some big choppers.

Input cut. you can see part of the flitching that came off.

Love this crazy stuff.
Later in the day had another come in. Drew back but it looked to pretty and was a little young one . It's still out there maybe next year.

I'm amazed one was within 10 yards and growling.  Around me if you blink they catch it 50 yards away.  Quite an accomplishment!  Congrats!
