Any one have a good idea on how to use this product with out making a mess? The tube spout looks like it will dispense to much flow when applying to feathers.

One just needs to goose it gently.  Squeezing that tube is messy.

I emptied my last tube into one of the small plastic  dispenser bottles. It has a narrow tip for clean line application and the leftover has lasted much longer than I thought it would with air space in the bottle. It hasn't skinned over or dried out at all.

I heat the point of a large hat-pin and push it through the end of the plastic cap, and into the thin 'seal' of the tube. I remove the hat-pin when applying the glue and then replace the hat-pin to close the tube for storage.  - John

Get the small plastic bottles that 3rivers sells or get one at your local beauty parlor or beauty supply.
Duco benefits from slight thinning with lacquer thinner. It will flow better making a more even glue line. It will also extend the life.

Hobby stores sell glue bottles, use 16 gauge or larger

Hobby lobby also sells a squeeze on dispenser tip in a five pack under the testors brand.  It's Long and pointed allowing for a very fine line of glue.  It fits the Duco tube perfectly.  When you are done with it push a straightened paper clip through it and use it over and over.

I get three or four dozen arrows per tip.

I save the tips that come on fletch tite and use them on duco. Just cut the snout off the duco even with the threads and the fletch tite tip will screw on. Easy fix

Here's a place you can order them if there is no hobby lobby nearby.

That's a huge URL.  I'm gonna format it here and edit the other post.  It's wrecking the topic.

I just pinch the tip with a pair of pliers making it oval in shape.

If you put a small clamp on the tip and heat it with a heat gun till it's fairly warm, then let it cool, the opening will end up narrower.

We use the 2 ounce bottles.  The long, transparent applicator allows you to see bubbles as they come out.  No surprise when the glue appears.  The glue doesn't get hard but I find myself adding a tube of Duco about once a month.  We make quite a few arrows.
