The 2018, 14th Howard Hill SE Classic
« on: March 02, 2018, 07:27:00 AM »
Folks, the Howard Hill Southeastern Classic will be held again at Tannehill Historical State Park, in McCalla, AL, May 31, June 1, 2 & 3, 2018.   As you can see, this year will be a four day event.

NOW, let me add that this year WILL NOT be my last year for the HH Classic.  I hope to go several more years.

With that said, next year's "HOWARD HILL CLASSIC", not only a slight difference in the title, BUT, there will also be some MAJOR CHANGES!!!

I will be using Rinehart Targets, the winners plaques will have a beautiful new design, there will be "American Traditional Archer" designed belt buckles to go along with the 1st place winners plaques, AND, some OUTSTANDING SURPRISES, coming as well.

See y'all at this year's Howard Hill Southeastern Classic.

For those of you that made this year's Pre-Spring Arrow Fling, because of the rain on Saturday evening, I've carried LOTS of items I was going to raffle or auction over to the HH Classic.

These items, including three bows.  One from Northern Mist, Big Jim's Bow co. and Bear archery donated a "Byron Ferguson Patriot".

These items and more will be used to help raise money for the Boy Scout Camp.

I believe after the dust settles on this year's HH Classic, the planning for next year's gonna be exciting as well.

While on the topic of targets especially since it has been mentioned that Rineharts would replace current stock, does anyone know how much steel is used in their construction?

Terry,

Will  winning score be made available?

Is there somewhere the winning score is posted from last month's spring fling?

Thanks.

Terry,

The reason Ol’Possum Head is asking about how much metal is because it seems his arra’s finds it quite often.

And somehow the Supreme Leader and Captain of F. R. O. G
Was able to find it too!

It appears these targets have a fair amount that runs low around the belly.

I only know this has I was trying to assist Possum in determining why he kept bending points and such....so I shot where he shoot and sure enough broke a fine specimen of an arra

Kerry, I posted the winners on the "Thnx from the Pre-Spring" thread.

LOL, John, my arrows find rocks, trees, water, sometimes, anything but the target.

By the way, Kerry, did you come to the Pre-Spring shoot.  I can't find where you registered if you did.

Yes. I didn't enter a score because I was shooting fixed crawl.

I'll look up the scores on the thread you posted on.

Tannehill State Park also has THREE main bathhouses in the camping areas of Park, even one at the registration area.

Tannehill State Park has ALL the amenities you'd need for outstanding camping.

And again, fishing, mt. bike riding, hiking, craft shops, historical sites and even church for Sunday services if you like.

AND, FOR YOU LADIES, the Gem, Jewelry & Mineral Show is going on this same weekend!!!
