Do You Know What Today IS?
« on: November 09, 2007, 06:26:00 PM »
Saturday, November 10, 2007 is the 232nd Birthday of The United States Marine Corps.
To My brother and sister Marines I say,"OOORAA and Semper Fidelis, Happy Birthday my beloved Corps." If you have served or are serving I lift a glass and drink your health and I toast,"God Bless America and God Bless The United States Marine Corps!"
And On Sunday May we all pray and ask the Lord's Blessings on all our service men and women on Veterens' Day.
And to all you tradgangers I say as you retire to your bed tomorrow night you say, "Good Night Chesty, Wherever you are."
It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare. ~Mark Twain

I wish all the current and former Marines a heart-felt Happy Birthday. During my first tour in RVN, I had the pleasure to serve with a number of Marine officers. I was Army but we served shoulder to shoulder with Marine officers. I will never forget them and their professionalism. They truly epitomized the Marine Corps tradition and dedication to duty, God, and country. My hat is off to them and each and everyone of you who is currently serving or who has served, in the Marine Corps. Happy Birthday and may all of you come home safe and sound.

Let us not forget the reason why Veteran's Day was established as a day of rememberance for all of our veterans. May this be the last war we experience.

Best wishes.

can a Hospital Corpsman (Doc) say "OOORAA"  :)  Happy B-day.
“instinctive archery” is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.
