What can I do paper tuning???

I've got a Robertson Recurve that's 50@28. But I only draw 27 so about 47@27 is what I'm shooting. Bear in mind that I'm also left handed so everything is backwards.
I tried tuning my bow first with the new 500 black GG (2016) and they were way to stiff even full length shooting 200 grain pointd. They were making 4 inch ripps to the left.
I then tried 1916 bear shafting and with a 30 inch arrow and 200grain point I was still getting about a 1 inch ripp to the left.
I would like to be shooting about about a 28-29 inch arrow. How would I weaked the spine on the 1916 enough to get this.... Really don't want to add more point weight though.

String,
If your brace height isn't already as low as you can get it, lowering that will make the arrows act weaker.

Never thought about that. Would lowering it by 1/8 inch be enough to see a differance???
Would building the side plate help???

I'm surprised they are that stiff.
Two things:
1. Rule out shelf/riser contact.
2. Try bareshaft tuning. Check out the bow tuning page at A&H Archery.
