Who makes the Barta bow? The Martin Bamboo Viper and the Barta bow sure look alot alike in the 3 Rivers catalog.

MARTIN MADE A 64" BOW CALLED THE BUSHMASTER, THEN THEY CHANGED IT TO BLACK GLASS AND GRAY RISER AND CALLED IT THE SHADOW I BELIEVE. THE BARTA BOW IS BEING BUILT BY MARTIN AND LOOKS JUST LIKE THE SHADOW THEY USED TO BUILD, IF I GOT THE NAME( SHADOW) RIGHT.

I own the 6th Barta Bow ever sold. It is fast for a long bow, smooth to draw and an overall joy to shoot. currently it is my go to bow and I have a whole rack full. It is pleasing to the eye but not so shiney that you don't want to drag it thru the woods. I can't wait for spring turkey season to get back out there with my Barta.

Barta Bow design looks identical to the old Martin Bushmaster. I've shot the Bushmaster & it's a great bow. The Martin Bamboo Viper is a totally different design. It's designed like the Martin Vision, only 2" shorter in length. The Bamboo Viper's limbs are backed with with carbon, clear glass on belly & bamboo laminations.  The Barta Bow limbs are black fiberglass over maple lams.

I shot the Barta Bow at 3Rivers about a month ago. It shot really nice. It was as fast as the THawk but not nearly as smooth. Accuracy was great. For the money....Not a bad buy.  I like my Black Widow PLII better but I've got a lot more money in it. I still wouldn't be one bit afraid to buy a Barta Bow!!
